Stephen’s Heart Note 4.5.19
Good Morning Team!
Hopefully you have completed or filed you necessary state & federal taxes by today’s deadline to ensure compliance with “rendering unto Ceasar” as we honor the system of government which has established this nation in freedom. I have been in 2 other countries this year where the people have almost no freedom to live, move, and have their being due to broken people who corrupt power for selfish gain. It is truly a hard-won privilege to serve with each of you on this Kingdom road of business and ministry, regardless of the cultural, political raging that clouds the mind and perverts the hearts of men from light, love, & truth.
In this fashion, a question has been placed on my heart that I hope to dig deep into over the next 5 weeks to combat any negative thoughts about walking fully in the Ideal Team Player trait of HUMBLE. Any feedback is appreciated as we are all working through this concept together.
Question: What is complacency?

SPS-The main danger I personally struggle with in regards to complacency is the laxness, and self appreciation. This type of self evaluation leads to a deceptive contentment that really, really, really prefers to be a lazy couch potato streaming adventure/action movies and constant comfort eating instead of putting my hands to Kingdom work. There have been countless moments in my life where this toxic mindset has led to selfish behaviour, robbing me of real relationships, simply because I was not present in someone’s life.
I have located a straightforward 5 steps to help me, and us, to create a more humble environment so that complacency has ZERO room in our lives, personally & professionally. Let us CHALLENGE the status quo in our hearts first!
Google Dictionary: Organizational complacency is dangerous. Complacency is an intrinsic flaw that prevents organizations from pushing beyond the status quo to achieve exceptional successes. Avoiding complacency is essential to any business’s long-term longevity.
